The Fourth Estate Dining Room

Dominated by a gallery of over 100 caricatures of club presidents, patrons and Denver press notables, the Fourth Estate Dining room seats up to 80 for meals and can also be configured for other uses. The northern third of the room, called the Deadline Room, was reintegrated into the main dining area during the renovation of the club in 2001. It houses artifacts from the club’s collection including front-page plates from the first editions of the Rocky Mountain News and the Denver Post and great moments in history, plus autographed photos of US presidents, many of whom visited the club throughout its history.

The far corner of the room, called Poet’s Corner, is home to a large oak table inscribed in tribute to Thomas Hornsby Ferril, the late poet laureate of Colorado, who passed many an evening in the club’s dining room enjoying the company of fellow members and assorted other friends and admirers.
