At a time when newsrooms and their budgets are shrinking, how do journalists continue to do good investigative reporting? Whether blowing the whistle or combing through documents for the truth, investigative reporting is a keystone of the mission of journalism to serve as the fourth estate, but can be costly and time-consuming.
