COLORADO PRESS WOMEN ANNUAL SPRING MEETING
Saturday, April 17 2010, 8:30am - 1:30pm

Colorado Press Women holds its annual spring meeting, with morning seminars and the awards luncheon. At the Mount Vernon Country Club, 24933 Clubhouse Circle, Golden (on Lookout Mountain off of I-70 west of Golden).

The program:

(A) A Presentation: Branding for Good -- Building a Brand with Passion, Power and Purpose.

Passionate brands have a clear and powerful purpose. Their product or service is intricately tied to emotion - a sense of belonging, a belief, a cause and more. Their work gives meaning to our lives and invites us to engage with them through our minds and our hearts. In today's jaded economic climate, the hunt for meaning is on, and nowhere is this more important than in the world of branding. Join Stacy Lewis and Chuck Gross, partners and owners of Sector Brands, as they demonstrate how to use branding as a means to create meaningful connections and elevate your influence on the people and communities you serve. Check out their Web site at www.sectorbrands.com.

(B) A Panel: The World of Travel Freelancing.

Do you dream of traveling and earning a living from it? How do you break in? How has travel writing (and other freelance writing) changed with the advent of the Internet? Learn the secrets from a panel of successful Colorado-based travel writers, including Linda DuVal and Laura Daily. DuVal is a freelancer for many publications and was a travel editor for 20 years. Daily, a former national president of the Society of American Travel Writers, specializes in travel, lifestyle, food, trends, consumer advocacy and money-saving tips. Biographies of all presenters are available at www.coloradopresswomen.org. Reservations deadline is April 10. Send a check to Colorado Press Women, 26 S. Mt. Vernon Club Road, Golden 80401.
